Food and Farming Week

Tuesday 22nd April - Friday  25th April 2025

What a week! Our first week back was our Food and Farming theme week and we had so many visitors and fun activities that taught us about looking after animals and produce that comes from the farm.

On Tuesday we had a tractor visit with Lexie who talked to us about her job as a farmer. She also did an assembly for us to tell us all about her animals and the many jobs she needs to do to run her farm.
On Wednesday we had Little Clayhill Farm visit with their alpacas, rabbits, mice and quails. We loved meeting the animals!
On Thursday we Mike brought his ewes, lambs and two donkeys. Some children got to feed the lambs their milk, give carrots to the donkeys and pet the animals.
On Friday we had our school fruit salad where each class brought in and chopped up their chosen fruit. We then all shared the fruit and made a delicious fruit salad!

Alongside these activities, we have been making bread, planting seeds, designing and making farm vehicles, drawing animals, creating fact files and much more!
