Words Words Words
This week the children have taken part in activities based on our theme week, ‘Words, Words, Words’.
The children enjoyed learning a ‘Ten-word tiny tale’ based on ‘Diving'. The children had some imaginative story setting ideas and created some wonderful pictures to illustrate the tiny tale! The children loved re-enacting the story and dressing up as characters from the story. Also, the children enjoyed a shared reading session with 'Snow Bears Class'.
We had a visit from ‘Pete the Poet’ . He came to visit our school to take part in an imaginative storytelling session where the children went on a magical carpet ride, dressed up, created poetry and used musical instruments. It was fun dressing up in different costumes and using animal puppets as part of the session.
Finally, the children found out more about Winter Solstice, exploring ‘Winter’ seasonal art and craft activities. We talked about ‘World Day of Peace' and discussed how we could make the world, our school and the classroom more peaceful too.
