We had an amazing start back to school following the Christmas break here in Percy the Park Keepers.
As part of our Words Words Words theme week we learned a 10 word story and wrote our own beginnings and endings for the story. We illustrated our story with some amazing drawings.
We were lucky enough to do some paired reading with Very Hungry Caterpillar Class. The children shared their books and read to the younger children. It was lovely to hear the children sharing their love of reading and helping the younger children to enjoy the stories.
We had a visit from Pete the Poet who took us on an incredible carpet ride around the world. We had so much fun dressing up and playing the instruments as we created poetry and stories together.
We explored the winter solstice and wrote our own poems about winter. The children did such an incredible job!
