This week the children have been learning all about energy. They have explored how electricity is made and looked at alternative electricity sources such as solar energy and wind power. We even tried to make our own cookies and cook them in our very own homemade solar over! The children took on the role of scientists incredibly well and investigated how the Greenhouse Effect is warming up our planet. Through scientific enquiry and practical activities, the children have been able to expand their knowledge and make suggestions on how to save energy in our school. From turning the lights off, to recycling more and planting trees, they have certainly given us in Paddington Bear Class a lot to think about!
