Reading for Pleasure theme week
We started this week by reading the 'Snowbears' story. We used this to create artwork for our welcome reward board. We created collages, drew snowbears, painted the setting and cut out snowflakes.
We discussed our favourite books and visited the school library to find these. The books were shared in the classroom and we found toys to act these out. We used musical instruments to add sound effects and we illustrated the setting and characters.
We will continue to talk about 'reading for pleasure' and promote a love for reading.
