'We've got the Power' theme activities
The class have enjoyed learning about how we use the power of 'Electricity' within our daily lives at school and at home. It was interesting walking around the school environment looking for how electricity is used in different ways e.g. lights, laptop computers, interactive boards, photocopier, microwave, fridge, toaster.. The children could talk about how electricity is used in their own homes too. The class also learnt about sources of power and how we can get electricity in our school and homes. The children made some windmill turbines! We talked about how it is important to save electricity and turn lights and appliances off when not using. The class also had the opportunity to explore battery powered moving toys.
