World Book Day 2024
On World Book Day, the children came to school as 'Wild Animals'. We started the day with a whole school assembly and shared the story 'Stick Man'. Our 'Book Swap' was introduced and all children were given the opportunity throughout the morning to come and choose a 'new book' to take home with them. Each class dressed up and enjoyed a story based on their chosen animal. The children completed some lovely activities based around their book and shared their love of reading with one another.
Each class also made a 'book in a box'. They used their class names as their focus and made some amazing props to represent them.
We ended the day by hosting a crafting activity with parents. We made masks and created a variety of arts and crafts to represent our class animal. Thank you to all adults that were able to come and join us this. The children had such a great time. We hope you continue to share a love of reading with your children.
