Endangered Species
Welcome back, I hope you had a lovely half term break.
We've had a busy first week investigating the Better planet topic of endangered animals. The children have learned what it means to be 'extinct' and 'endangered'. They have learned why animals are facing extinction and what we can do to help them.
The children created campaign posters to save an endangered animal, fact files to spread awareness and dispel myths and participated in a citizen science project to monitor the insect population in our forest school area.
The children were enthusiastic and showed great interest in wildlife both locally and internationally and I firmly believe that the success of future species is in good hands.
